[:fr]Le Symposium d\u2019art\/nature\u00a0: Moncton 2016 se d\u00e9roulera du 22 septembre au 2 octobre, principalement au Parc \u00e9cologique du Mill\u00e9naire de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Moncton, avec des incursions ailleurs dans la ville de Moncton. Pendant dix jours, le parc et la ville deviendront des laboratoires de cr\u00e9ation et d\u2019interventions in situ.<\/em><\/p>\n

La dur\u00e9e de l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement permettra au public de suivre sur place le processus de cr\u00e9ation des artistes et de s’en informer. Neuf (9) artistes et collectifs du Nouveau-Brunswick, du Canada et de la France r\u00e9aliseront des projets d\u2019art public non permanents con\u00e7us et am\u00e9nag\u00e9s \u00e0 m\u00eame l\u2019espace public et seront r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans divers lieux du parc.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement se d\u00e9roulera autour de la th\u00e9matique suivante\u00a0: Depuis longtemps, l\u2019\u00eatre humain pense qu\u2019il doit \u00eatre ma\u00eetre de la nature, que cette derni\u00e8re est l\u00e0 pour \u00eatre travaill\u00e9e, cultiv\u00e9e, exploit\u00e9e pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ses besoins croissants. Mais cette approche nous a amen\u00e9 bien au-del\u00e0 des limites biophysiques de la plan\u00e8te comme en t\u00e9moigne la crise des changements climatiques. L\u2019enjeu existentiel de comment y r\u00e9pondre de mani\u00e8re durable et viable n\u00e9cessite d\u2019accro\u00eetre la r\u00e9flexivit\u00e9 cr\u00e9ative humaine. Les arts et l\u2019\u00e9cologie se retrouvent alors partis prenants du grand d\u00e9fi du XXIe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n

S\u00e9rie de conf\u00e9rences et blogue<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Une s\u00e9rie de conf\u00e9rences et une table ronde auront lieu durant le symposium avec des professionnels de diverses sp\u00e9cialisations. Cette s\u00e9rie a pour th\u00e8me N\u00e9gocier le territoire <\/em>et permettra de voir diff\u00e9rentes approches qui ont cours pour aborder le territoire par l’action artistique avec les conf\u00e9rencier.\u00e8re.s et panelistes suivants\u00a0:<\/p>\n

Des rendez-vous<\/strong><\/h2>\n

L\u2019ouverture de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement et une conf\u00e9rence de presse auront lieu le jeudi 22 septembre \u00e0 10h au pavillon dans le Parc \u00e9cologique du Mill\u00e9naire. Les artistes seront sur place de 15h \u00e0 18h du lundi au vendredi et de 13h \u00e0 16h les samedis et dimanches. L\u2019entr\u00e9e au Parc et la participation aux activit\u00e9s du Symposium sont gratuites.<\/p>\n

En marge du Symposium, la Galerie d\u2019art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen pr\u00e9sente l\u2019exposition Im\/p\u00e9n\u00e9trable nature<\/em> avec le travail d\u2019Isabelle Hayeur, Mathieu L\u00e9ger et D\u2019Arcy Wilson. Du 7 septembre au 16 octobre, cette exposition aborde l\u2019angoisse humaine face \u00e0 la nature et au d\u00e9fi \u00e9cologique. Le vernissage aura lieu le mercredi 28 septembre \u00e0 17h.<\/p>\n

Des visites guid\u00e9es du Symposium et des projets d\u2019artistes seront offertes le samedi 1er<\/sup> octobre de 11h \u00e0 15h et le vernissage des \u0153uvres produites aura lieu de 14h \u00e0 16h.<\/p>\n

Toujours la m\u00eame journ\u00e9e, une soir\u00e9e pr\u00e9sentations-flash<\/em> est pr\u00e9vue o\u00f9 la plupart des artistes participants pr\u00e9senteront leurs projets r\u00e9alis\u00e9s lors du symposium. Celle-ci se tiendra \u00e0 la Salle Bernard-LeBlanc du Centre culturel Aberdeen, \u00e0 20h. Elle sera suivie d\u2019une soir\u00e9e dansante avec Marquis de Mont-Royal et DJ Art Nature.<\/p>\n

For ten days, the park and the city will become an in situ <\/em>creation and intervention laboratory where the public will be invited to follow the creative process. Nine (9) artists and collectives from New Brunswick, Canada and France will produce non-permanent public art projects that will be conceived and developed in diverse areas of the park.<\/p>\n

The event is developed around the following theme: For ages, humans have thought that they must conquer nature, that nature is there to be used, cultivated and exploited to fulfill a growing need for resources. This approach has brought us way beyond the biophysical limits of the planet as evidenced by the current global warming crisis. The existential stake of how to remedy this in a durable and viable manner requires that we enhance our creative reflexivity. Art and ecology are therefore part of the great challenge of the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Conferences and blog<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A series of conferences will be held during the ten days of the symposium and will host professionals of various fields of knowledge and experience. The theme of this series, Negotiating territories<\/em>, will be a review of various approaches that address the territory through artistic action.<\/p>\n

The symposium also features a writing component where authors are invited to produce short essays in reaction to the artists\u2019 interventions. These essays will be published daily on the event\u2019s blog: www.artnaturemoncton.ca<\/a><\/p>\n

Schedule<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The event\u2019s launch and press conference will be held Thursday September 22nd<\/sup> at 10 AM at the gazebo situated at the heart of the park. Artists will be present from 3PM to 6PM Monday to Friday and 1PM to 4PM Saturdays and Sundays. Admission to all events is free.<\/p>\n

Parallel to the symposium, the Galerie d\u2019art Louise-et-Reuben-Cohen will be presenting the exhibition Im\/p\u00e9n\u00e9trable nature<\/em> featuring work by artists Isabelle Hayeur, Mathieu L\u00e9ger and D\u2019Arcy Wilson, opening September 28 at 5pm. This exhibition explores human anxiety relative to nature and the ecological challenge and will be presented from September 7 to October 16.<\/p>\n

Guided tours of the park and artistic projects will be offered on Saturday October 1st<\/sup> between 10AM and 3PM, followed by an opening from 2PM to 4PM.<\/p>\n

An evening of flash-presentations <\/em>will follow on the same day where most of the participating artists will present the project that they realized during the symposium. This event will be held in the Salle Bernard-LeBlanc at the Centre culturel Aberdeen at 8pm. The evening will continue with music with Marquis de Mont Royal and DJ Art Nature.<\/p>\n
