Belmore emploie une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de m\u00e9diums pour examiner notre utilisation de la technologie et comment celle-ci influence nos relations avec l\u2019environnement et il utilise certains mat\u00e9riaux pour mieux miroiter notre marchandage de la nature.<\/p>\n<p>Le travail de Belmore a \u00e9t\u00e9 montr\u00e9 au Canada ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019international, on le retrouve dans les collections permanentes de plusieurs institutions ainsi que dans bon nombre de collections priv\u00e9es. Quelques-unes de ses expositions les plus r\u00e9centes comprennent\u00a0: <em>Shapeshifting<\/em>\u00a0: <em>Transformations in Native American Art<\/em> au Peabody Essex \u00e0 Salem, MA, <em>Close Encounters: The Next 500 Years<\/em>, une exposition d\u2019art autochtone contemporain \u00e0 Winnipeg, MB ainsi que <em>HIDE: Skin as Material and Metaphor<\/em> au\u00a0 National Museum of the American Indian \u2013 George Gustav Heye Centre \u00e0 New York. [\/wpcol_1half]<br \/>\n[wpcol_1half_end id=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb class=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb]<em><strong>Residual<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Residual (R\u00e9siduel) est le reflet des sentiments de r\u00e9confort et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 que repr\u00e9sente pour nous le feu depuis le d\u00e9but des temps. Belmore employs a variety of media in order to investigate our use of technology and how it has affected our relationship to the environment. It is through his use of materials that Belmore brings into account how we view nature as commodity.<\/p>\n<p>Belmore&rsquo;s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is represented in the permanent collections of various institutions and numerous private collections. His most recent exhibitions include <em>Shapeshifting: Transformations in Native American Art<\/em> at the Peabody Essex in Salem, MA, <em>Close Encounters: The Next 500 Years<\/em>, an international exhibition of contemporary indigenous art in Winnipeg, MB and <em>HIDE: Skin as Material and Metaphor<\/em> at the National Museum of the American Indian \u2013 George Gustav Heye Centre in New York.[\/wpcol_1half]<br \/>\n[wpcol_1half_end id=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb class=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb]<strong><em>Residual<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Residual is a reflection on the sense of security fire has offered humanity since the dawn of time.
