Ses projets d\u2019installation-intervention et d\u2019int\u00e9gration, permanents et temporaires, proc\u00e8dent d\u2019une r\u00e9flexion sur l\u2019exp\u00e9rience du paysage et de la d\u00e9ambulation ainsi que d\u2019une appropriation des codes et des langages des lieux d\u2019intervention. Parmi la trentaine d\u2019\u0153uvres qu\u2019elle a produites, mentionnons le monument comm\u00e9moratif marquant la trag\u00e9die de l\u2019\u00c9cole polytechnique, <em>Nef pour quatorze reines<\/em> (1999), et <em>Point de fuite<\/em>, intervention pendant laquelle elle transforme l\u2019int\u00e9rieur d\u2019une voiture de m\u00e9tro de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport de Montr\u00e9al (2007-2008). Depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, en plus de r\u00e9aliser de nombreuses installations, elle est r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement invit\u00e9e \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter des projets pour divers bureaux d\u2019art public au Canada et aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<p>Elle d\u00e9tient une ma\u00eetrise en <em>open media<\/em> de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Concordia et un baccalaur\u00e9at de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. Elle a effectu\u00e9 des stages d\u2019\u00e9tudes \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019architecture de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure du paysage \u00e0 Versailles, en France. Elle est membre de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie royale des arts du Canada depuis 2005. En 2001, l\u2019Association des architectes paysagistes du Canada lui remettait le Prix d\u2019honneur r\u00e9gional et de citation nationale pour <em>Nef pour quatorze reines<\/em>. Plus r\u00e9cemment, en 2009, elle a re\u00e7u le prix Norman-Slater en int\u00e9gration des arts \u00e0 l\u2019architecture de l\u2019Ordre des architectes du Qu\u00e9bec pour <em>Cantate<\/em>, \u0153uvre situ\u00e9e dans le foyer du Palais Montcalm, \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec[\/wpcol_1half]<br \/>\n[wpcol_1half_end id=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb class=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb]<strong><em>interrogation partielle<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re de mes \u0153uvres est issue d\u2019une r\u00e9flexion sensible sur le lieu o\u00f9 je suis invit\u00e9e \u00e0 intervenir. C\u2019est \u00e0 partir de l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation r\u00e9elle du lieu ou de sa projection en mod\u00e8le r\u00e9duit que na\u00eet l\u2019\u0153uvre. Cette cueillette sensible des signes latents a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 des installations fort vari\u00e9es tant par leur forme, leur mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 que leur propos. [youtube width=\u00a0\u00bb250&Prime; height=\u00a0\u00bb187&Prime;]http:\/\/youtu.be\/3jUCeDgxfV4[\/youtube]L\u2019intervention artistique que je compte effectuer au Symposium d\u2019art\/nature de Moncton se situe dans la continuit\u00e9 d\u2019une r\u00e9flexion que je poursuis depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es autour des codes r\u00e9gissant le d\u00e9placement dans l\u2019espace urbain. Ma proposition s\u2019appuie sur une collecte directe des commentaires et opinions des promeneurs rencontr\u00e9s entre le parc \u00e9cologique mill\u00e9naire et le centre-ville de Moncton, lieux o\u00f9 se d\u00e9roulent les activit\u00e9s du symposium, au sujet de ce qu\u2019ils attendent d\u2019une \u0153uvre d\u2019art. Dans un contexte urbain, que peut-on demander \u00e0 une \u0153uvre d\u2019art\u00a0? \u00ab\u00a0Qu\u2019elle nous \u00e9blouisse\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0qu\u2019elle soit discr\u00e8te\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0qu\u2019on puisse l\u2019ignorer\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0qu\u2019elle nous parle\u00a0\u00bb \u00a0? L\u2019enqu\u00eate sur le terrain t\u00e9moignera certainement d\u2019une grande diversit\u00e9 de points de vue des citoyens, dont les r\u00e9ponses formeront la mati\u00e8re premi\u00e8re de mon intervention. Je chercherai dans cette perspective \u00e0 entrer en contact avec des gens d\u2019origines diverses afin de recueillir des commentaires dans d\u2019autres langues que le fran\u00e7ais ou l\u2019anglais. \u00c0 mesure de la collecte, les phrases recueillies seront mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9es pour \u00eatre install\u00e9es le long d\u2019un trajet reliant le parc au centre-ville. \u00c9l\u00e9ments inusit\u00e9s dans l\u2019espace public, les expressions, discr\u00e8tes ou voyantes, feront se questionner les promeneurs sur le rapport esth\u00e9tique qu\u2019ils entretiennent avec leur environnement imm\u00e9diat.[\/wpcol_1half_end][:en][wpcol_1half id=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb class=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb]<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-171\" title=\"Rose-Marie Ekemberg Goulet\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artnaturemoncton.ca\/wp-content\/fichiers\/2012\/09\/RMEG-194x250.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artnaturemoncton.ca\/wp-content\/fichiers\/2012\/09\/RMEG-194x250.jpg 194w, https:\/\/www.artnaturemoncton.ca\/wp-content\/fichiers\/2012\/09\/RMEG-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/www.artnaturemoncton.ca\/wp-content\/fichiers\/2012\/09\/RMEG.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><strong><br \/>\nRose-Marie Ekemberg Goulet<\/strong> has been involved in public art since the early &rsquo;80&rsquo;s. Her installation-intervention and integration projects both permanent and temporary, stem\u00a0 from the deliberation of ideas on the experience of landscape when wandering, as well as an appropriation of the codes and languages of the places in which\u00a0 the intervention occurs. Among her body of work, let us cite <em>Nef pour quatorze reines<\/em> (1999), a commemorative monument marking the tragedy at l&rsquo;\u00c9cole Polytechnique, and\u00a0 <em>Point de fuite <\/em>(2007-2008), an installation with the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport de Montr\u00e9al which involved the transformation of a metro car. In addition to the creation of several installation pieces, Rose-Marie has, for many years, been invited to submit projects with several public art bureaus in Canada and in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>She has a Masters of <em>open media<\/em> from Concordia University, and a Bachelor from The Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. She has won internships studies with l\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019architecture de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al as well as with l\u2019\u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure du paysage \u00e0 Versailles, France. In 2009 she was a recipient of the Norman-Slater prize for the integration of arts in architecture from the Ordre des architectes du Qu\u00e9bec for <em>Cantate <\/em>a work located in the foyer of the Palais Montcalm, in Qu\u00e9bec City. [\/wpcol_1half]<br \/>\n[wpcol_1half_end id=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb class=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb]<strong><em>interrogation partielle<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The raw materials for my work stem from a substantial thought process in the space where I have been invited to intervene.\u00a0 It is based on this actual experience of the place that the work begins to exist. This sensitive approach to a space and its latent signs has lead to a varied body of installations, varied by their shapes,\u00a0 their materiality as well as their content. The artistic intervention I plan to carry out during the <strong>Symposium d&rsquo;art\/nature\u00a0: Moncton 2012<\/strong> is a continuance of a thought process which I&rsquo;ve been exploring for several years now about the codes regulating travel in an urban space. My proposal is based on the comments and opinions about what one can expect from a work of art,\u00a0 collected from pedestrians met in the Ecological Millenium Park as well as in the downtown\u00a0 Moncton area, both being places where the Symposium is holding its activities. In an urban context, what can we ask of a work of art\u00a0? \u00ab\u00a0That it dazzles us?\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0That it be discreet?\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0That we may ignore it?\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0That it speak to us?\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The local investigation will most certainly testify to a large diversity of citizens&rsquo; opinions and points of view, and whose answers will form the raw materials for my intervention. I will therefore be looking for ways in which to enter into contact with people of diverse origins with the intention of also gathering comments in languages other than French and English. As the gathering proceeds, the sentences gathered will be materialized in order to be installed along a route linking the park to downtown Moncton.
