[:fr][wpcol_1half id=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb class=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb style=\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0\u00bb]\"\"Gilbert LeBlanc<\/strong> fait carri\u00e8re en sculpture depuis 1980.\u00a0 Ses oeuvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 vues dans bon nombre de pays lors d\u2019expositions de groupes.\u00a0 Il a sculpt\u00e9 le bois 12 ans avant de construire sa fonderie d\u2019art pr\u00e8s de Petit Rocher au Nouveau-Brunswick.\u00a0 Il r\u00e9alise lui-m\u00eame toutes les \u00e9tapes qui m\u00e8nent \u00e0 l\u2019obtention de sculptures en bronze.<\/p>\n

Gilbert a livr\u00e9 \u00e0 Edmundston une \u0153uvre publique en bronze durant l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2012.\u00a0 Son exposition \u00a8Chez les Catalans\u00a8 cr\u00e9e en Espagne, lors d\u2019une r\u00e9sidence d\u2019artiste, a tourn\u00e9 \u00e0 six endroits au NB jusqu\u2019en f\u00e9vrier dernier.<\/p>\n

En 2009, Gilbert LeBlanc participe au symposium d\u2019art actuel de Caraquet et il cr\u00e9e un monument en bronze d\u00e9di\u00e9 au p\u00e8re du Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien.\u00a0 L\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, il \u00a0r\u00e9alise une \u0153uvre publique \u00e0 Charlottetown pour marquer le passage de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00c9loizes.\u00a0 De 2006 \u00e0 2008, une exposition comprenant plus de 40 de ses bronzes, a tourn\u00e9 au NB et au Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n

Au cours de sa carri\u00e8re, il est cofondateur d\u2019une coop\u00e9rative d\u2019artisans, une association provinciale des m\u00e9tiers d\u2019art ainsi qu\u2019une galerie d\u2019art publique.\u00a0 Membre de l\u2019Association acadienne des artistes professionnel.le.s du Nouveau-Brunswick, il y a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le secteur des arts visuels pendant 5 ans.\u00a0 Au national, il a si\u00e9g\u00e9 au conseil d\u2019administration de l\u2019Association des groupes en arts visuels francophones.<\/p>\n

Twelve years of wood sculpting eventually lead him to build a foundry on his land in rural New Brunswick where he now oversees each step in his bronze making process.<\/p>\n

This summer, Gilbert created a bronze public art piece for the city of Edmunston. His work \u00ab\u00a0Chez les Catalans<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb created during a residency in Spain has toured throughout New Brunswick.<\/p>\n

In 2009, Gilbert took part in the Symposium d\u2019art actuel<\/em> in Caraquet and created a bronze work dedicated to the father of the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien<\/em>. He also created a public art work in Charlottetown in conjunction with Les \u00c9loizes<\/em>. From 2006-2008, forty pieces of his bronze work were shown throughout New Brunswick and Quebec.<\/p>\n

He is co-founder for a collective of artisans, a provincial M\u00e9tiers D\u2019art association as well as an artist-run center. He has represented the visual arts in New Brunswick for five years within the AAAPNB, and has been a member of the board for the national arts service organisation, Association des groupes en arts visuels francophones.[\/wpcol_1half]
