He is a member of faculty for the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra and is part of Avahang, an Iranian music group with Dariush Zarbafian.

The music department’s percussive ensemble will be divided into three groups of three musicians dispersed in different spots throughout the park.  Wood and metal will be used as well as whistles and other accessories to create a sound that melds with nature.  This commissioned work composed by Richard Gibson is entitled Sylviphonie.
